about

This is a re-release of a little known album from 2005. Originally known as 'Raging Hormones', the band was put together by bassist Steve Richardson. He contributed the compositions, Schtick, Creeper, St Petersburg, whilst drummer Seb Guard composed Across the Bay. Tim Rose provided the other 6 tunes. Tim brought in Saxophonist Richard Beesley to complete the line up. The band only ever did one 'gig' as this outfit but it was a fulfilling if short lived project. Steve produced and mixed the final product we have here.

Notes from Steve;
“Schtick”, written by Steve Richardson was the 3rd track from "Pete Yorks New York’s" first Vinyl LP “Into The Furnace” released by Teldec the German record company in 1980.
Pete York was originally the drummer with 60’s legends “The Spencer Davis Group”, famous for classic hits “Gimme Some Lovin’” “I’m A Man” and “Keep On Runnin’ “
The band featured Steve on Vocals,Bass and Guitar.

Whilst the name “New York” specifically referred to Pete York's New musical direction, Steve has always conceded that amongst other things the UK Yorkshire county capital coincidentally called “York" was indeed so good that they named it. He also deduced that “York" was better than an American city called rather spookily ,“New York” because he was told that it was in a State. “New York” the band never played in Amsterdam, which is lucky as it would have confused things even more.

Enjoy!
